The Board of Directors approved a letter of support for Board for East Pikeland, Schuylkill, and West Vincent Townships; and the advocates in the Phoenixville Clean Energy Transition Alliance (PACEA), in their application for a Clean Energy Transition Planning Study grant from the Chester County Planning Commissions Vision Partnership Planning grant program.
We support the development of a Clean Energy Transition Plan to facilitate conservation, energy efficiency and the transition to renewable energy in the Phoenixville area. We join in the goals of the study’s plan to educate and engage all the community’s stakeholders including the municipalities Ready for 100% Renewable Resolutions and the 2019 Phoenixville Regional Comprehensive Plan’s commitment to transition away from polluting fossil fuels to renewable energy. We welcome the study’s plan to educate and engage all the community’s stakeholders including the private and public schools, non-profits, businesses, institutions, property owners and residents.
We look forward to being part of this study’s effort to do our part in reducing the impacts of our energy choices on the climate.

The Green Team merged in 2015 with Phoenix Iron Canal and Trails Association (PICTA) adding the mission of the completing the 10 mile Phoenixville Greenway, a riparian buffer and trail system along the French Creek and Schuylkill River.
